Romance Chat

Welcome to Romance Chat, the latest talk show with a focus on romance. Tune in to see what romance tips you can get.

Romance for All
If it's anything a relationship needs to keep from getting stale, it's romance. Now, in everyday life, it's easy to get bogged down with work, staying fit, taking care of the kids, cooking and cleaning. Before you know it, you're so caught up with your daily routine that you begin to take your relationship for granted. And generally, you're both doing it at the same time without even realizing it.

To help you out, we at Romance Chat have invited some couples to the show who feel that they know how to keep the romance alive in their relationship. They're willing to share some of their tips with you. Our first couple is Mary and Justin. Welcome to the show.

Mary: Hi!
Justin: Hello.
Dr. Bill: How y'all doin' today?
Both: Fine, fine.
Dr. Bill: Why don't you share with our romance chat audience some of the things you do to keep the romance alive in your relationship?
Mary: Well, it's really hard because it is so easy to get caught up in everyday life. But the hardest part is to realize that it's missing. When you do, you have to make time. We have a date at least once a month. We call a sitter and go out alone. Or sometimes, we send the kids to a sitter instead of having one come in and just have a romantic evening at home. The Justin does little things too, like every once in awhile he'll send me flowers at work.
Justin: Sometimes Mary puts notes in with my lunch. That's nice too.
Mary: And if Justin gets home before I do, he'll start dinner. As corny as it sounds, even that can be romantic.
Justin: I like it when Mary scratches my back.
Dr. Bill: Okay, Justin. That's great y'all. Now let's move on to our next couple, Beth and Jerry.
(Beth and Jerry enter.)
Dr. Bill: Beth, Jerry--welcome to Romance Chat.
Jerry: Thanks!
Beth: It's great to be here.
Dr. Bill: Why don't y'all tell us how you keep the romance alive in your relationship?
Beth: Well, I think Mary hit the nail on the head with the little everyday things. Jerry does so much around the house for me and I never even say thank you.
Jerry: Well, you do the same.
Beth: You just have to stop and think that whenever he does something like making sure my bike tires or my car tires have enough air and things like that, it's just so sweet. And he tries to think of little things we can do together all the time.
Jerry: So do you though. And before we started our diet, Beth used to make sure I had cookies or some kind of treat like that every week.
Beth: I didn't do it to make you gain weight though.
Jerry: Oh, I know. It was the thought that counted though.
Dr. Bill: Well, y'all. Unfortunately, we're all out of time. Tune in to Romance Chat next week for more romance tips!
