You have probably heard that a romance can go through a few stages during its life. Of course at the beginning we all see everything as being very rosy and the person that we are with seems to us ideal and perfect, just like in a romance novel. Suddenly even the problems in our lives do not seem as bad as they once did when we are in the grips of true feelings. It is so powerful that it effects every aspect of our lives and all we want to do is spend more time with our partner.

At the beginning it is as if romance is oozing from our very pores and everything that we do with our partner is romantic. At this stage it does not take much at all to keep the relationship full of romance. It comes naturally at first, especially when the two people are really trying to let the other person know how much they care about them and the relationship without being too mushy and putting it into words. But, this stage does not last for any of us, it inevitably turns into something else which if fostered properly, can be even more profound and meaningful. But, it is of the utmost importance that romance is kept alive and is a daily occurrence in the relationship. What makes it hard is most of us don't sit down to have a "romance chat."

It might sound like too much to keep romance in our daily lives, but let's not forget that you needn't have a candlelight dinner and flowers to have romance. A sweet call during the hectic day or a cute e-mail that reminds your partner just how much you care and why is also romantic. When you are at a party and your eyes meet, or when you tough your beloved in passing is very romantic and soften any mood. You probably know how much your partner is in love with you, but you also know how good it feels to hear it time and time again.

We put a lot of work into our daily lives and our relationships at home, so we do need to be reminded and remind our partner that their is a constant appreciation of all the things, including the little things, that go into keeping a good relationship strong and standing the test of time. It couldn't hurt to throw in a few romance books every once in while as well!
